Greece violates European Laws with Online Gambling Legislation
Greece does not meet EU standards!
The RGA (Remote Gambling Association) and EGBA (European Gaming and Betting Association) filed a complaint on the European Union against Greece by being in violation of European standards with its online gambling legislation.
The two associations have accused Greece of creating an overly protectionist legislation since it obliges the operators to have facilities in Greece as well as accounts on Greek banks and still have the obligation to pay retroactive charges since January 2010.
While the Greek government enforces all these rules to foreign operators, to Greek operators does not require the payment of any fee and renewed its license until 2030, so clearly going against the laws of fair competition.
